The Ancient Heroes
Using a picture I took from Metropolitan Museum of Art, I created statue of Heracles in the foreground. The background figure is from my memory of a carving brick mural depicting ‘Jing Ke Assassinating King of Qin荆轲刺秦,’ one of the most heroic scenes throughout Chinese history. By juxtaposing images of two most famous ancient heroes from different civilizations, I intend to convey my experience of multiculturalism when visiting Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
