I found this picture from last year and I think it's fun to compare it to the horses I can draw now like the Horse Summer 2012

Thank you. haha I realized that I wasn't making the faces of my horses long enough too. And I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong because it looked fine when I was drawing it and then when I would finish the drawing I'd think, "I don't remember the head looking that little when I was drawing it." Turns out it's how I've been sitting when drawing (I sit really close to the paper) and so when I see the rest of the drawing it looks like it's the right size. Recently I've started to sit right over my picture while drawing and they're starting to look normal. It's funny what perspective can do to a drawing :P

This is so detailed and the horse looks so fierce! I wish I could draw horses like this.

i like the detail in the tack and the veins on the face but the eyes aren't quite even and the face could be longer.
