The story ‘’All Summer in a Day’’ by Ray Bradbury, takes place on the planet Venus, where it is raining all the time, except for one day every seven years. Everybody was fine with the rain, because no one remembered the sun except one girl called Margot, she remembered the sun and was very sad that the sun was shining every seven years for one single day.’’Margot stood apart from them, from these children who could ever remember a time when there wasn’t rain and rain and rain. Their dreams were gone.’’When the big day had come the girl was put in the cupboard so she could not see the sun, that had bad consequences for her because she was very sad and disappointed, she was the only one that could still remember the sun. ‘’Hey, everyone, let’s put her in a closet before the teacher comes! No, said Margot, falling back. They surged about her, caught her up and bore her, protesting, and then pleading, and then crying, back into a tunnel, a room, a closet, where they slammed and looked the door. They stood looking at the door and saw it tremble from her beating and throwing herself against it. They heard her muffled cries.’’ The girl was so desperate to see the sun, which made it even worse that she could not. The author uses perspective to show that actions have their consequences. So think before you act, that makes the reader think about if he/she could change their future actions. The author shows the actions in different perspectives, which changes the consequences. But then she saw that there was a little gab in the cupboard, luckily she could see outside and saw the giant yellow ball.’’Like a lemon it was, and how hot. It was the color of flaming bronze and it was very large. The sky around it was a blazing title color.’’ In her perspective she felt so lucky and happy, but maybe seeing the sun has also bad consequences for her. ‘’ She began to cry, looking at it. They glanced quietly at the sun.’’Finally at the end, she was so happy that she could still see the sun with her own eyes.
