What Major Are You Choosing And Why (Max. 150 Words)
I am considering a major in Psychology or Sociology, though admittedly those choices are subject to change. Ultimately, I would like to pursue a vocation in which I am able to help people in a meaningful and personal way. As recent events in Louisville, Minneapolis and Kenosha have shown, the amount of division, mistrust, hurt and anger in our nation is at an unprecedented level, and the stress and strain many people are under as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic is palpable. I would like to think that armed with an education from the University of ***, I could be of service in facilitating the listening, healing and fostering of a shared sense of purpose necessary to help begin to put the lives of my fellow citizens back on the right track.
