Confliction
Confliction
Julie Mehretu- Entropia
It is like a fire inside, constantly turning, roaring, trying to spread, stealing every breath, suffocating , leaving the world crumbling around her. The feeling of being trapped by contrasting thoughts, as though she will never be set free from this life that she lives in. Until one day when everything comes to the surface, and explodes into an arc of color, setting her free from this life that she used to live.
Pulling, tugging, fighting, and never having a clear answer, all describe the feelings about this town she live in. The world seems fine one day, and crashing down the next, with this constant internal struggle. She can’t wait to leave, and yet is scared to at the same time. The feelings are like tug of war, a constant back and forth battle, that in the end only has one outcome. The world has never been clear for her and has always been a fight of emotions, one that never seizes to stop. Until one day, when she left the town and her emotions erupted in elaborat colors spreading forth from the center, and exploding across the pages, in colors that never touch or mix, setting her free like a beautiful butterfly leaving its home.
The emotions flood to the surface like an explosion of water, flying across the town she once called home. Leaving nothing behind, but an arc of color covering the darkness she felt, with
bright colors to mask the feelings she once had. The feelings like a volcano, bubbling, growing, turning, until one day it erupts with such force, that it cannot be stopped or controlled.
As she leaves the town that was once called home, she is flooded with emotions of , relief, happiness, and peace. Her heart once clouded with darkness is filled with light. Able to finally breath, she continues to walk to her new life,a place of joy and rebirth, and she never looks back. Moving on to the land of Entropia.
