Drought happens everywhere . . . Hundreds of dead bodies on the road . . . Loud screams of people. All of the things take place under a large castle in the middle of the Kingdom, where the water is considered extremely scarce and the one and only place that contains clear and fresh water is the Royal Palace. If people want to have water to use, they must obey the royal’s law and do everything the royal tells them to do, even death. Besides, if someone discovers another water source but does not declare it to the royal, then that person will be executed in front of everyone. Hopeless, the main character in this story, an enthusiastic guy, who doesn't want to surrender to fate. As usual, Hopeless is in the street to come back home after a long and tiring day at work, he catches a man unconscious, he wants to pretend he does not see the man, but his conscience disallows it, he takes that man to his home. After that, the man wakes up and introduces himself with Hopeless. According to him, his name is Vince and he is a wanderer. Hopeless does not suspect and continues to let this man stay at his house. The next day, he goes to the Royal Palace to work, but a message suddenly pops up saying that a criminal named Vince had run away and they needed to mobilize everyone to find him. Hopeless has a bad premonition, he senses that the man he saved yesterday was keeping some secret and he does not inform the royal about it. Immediately, he quickly runs home and looks for Vince to ask the truth. Vince seems to know something and he tells Hopeless that the royal is deceiving everyone, they keep a lot of water inside the palace and they transfer the whole water in the country to their palace. Because he knows their secret, they want to arrest him. Hopeless believes his words, he is not hesitated and they make a plan to raid into the palace and release the water sources. This plan is like a double-edged sword. If they succeed, they will help a lot of people; if not, they will perish. However, Hopeless and Vince do not know that their conversation was monitored. Two of them try to  break into the palace at night, when they step into the water reservoir, they are arrested on the spot and the one who followed their conversation is the dog Hopeless raised, its body contains the royal’s recorder. The royal was very gloating about it. In a gentle sunny afternoon, the wind sings, the royal decides to execute them publicly to set an example for others.
