The last thing I wanted to happen in the whole world was happening, my dad getting married to Sue. The thing I was dreading most was that my dad required that I not only attend the wedding but stand up in it. I wasn’t ready for what was about to happen and how it would be the highlight of my life.

Sue started walking down the aisle in a trash bag. I mean it did kind of fit her style. After that hilarious ceremony. My sister and I were attempting to catch our breath and couldn't get enough of the jokes we were going back and forth making.

The reception started on a downward spiral. A lot of heavy drinking… by everyone. This led to the big event that threw everyone for a loop, my father started to stumble up the stairs to the stage and then he reached for the microphone, “I just wanted to let you all know that I have cancer.” No one expected that one, and the crowd got dreery and quiet. My newest stepmom tried to cover up the scene and was trying to lighten the mood with more alcohol.

We got him to sit down and he started making more sense, he just couldn’t manage to get the words out. He believed that Sue had cancer and was hiding the news from him, so that is what he stumbled on the stage to tell everyone. Which wouldn’t have been any better than what he did. But after informing everyone that it was just some drunken thoughts the mood went semi-back to normal.

While everyone was complaining about how tired they were, I was told I had to clean up all the garbage outside. I was livid, no one else was told to clean besides me and Sydney. Especially when they knew that I had a long day in high heels all night after I just got off crutches 24 hours prior due to my broken foot and knee. Anyone who saw my attempt at walking could tell that I wasn’t very good at it, but I got forced onto the dance floor. There were sweaty people all over me and I could barely move. Everyone started to lean and before I knew it I was on the floor in tremendous pain. Which led to another emergency room visit and I was in the same position as 6 weeks ago.
