Being of the Earth
I am a being of the Earth.
I spread my wings and soar through blankets of blue skies. I ready my feet and bound along an old worn nature path, faster than a jack rabbit, far more graceful than an eagle.
My long, scaly body slides along the ground, silent. My two back paws, protective of my home, stand firm and strong. I am as stealthy as a snake, and am stronger than a bear.
I bob in the water, I hunt on the shore. I am as buoyant as a fish. I am as well-equipped as a herring.
My rushing noises cause comfort to the weary. My crackling sounds bring out lovely scents. I am as reassuring as a river. I am as powerful as a raging fire.
I am as all these things and more.
I am a being of the Earth.
