Sand Sinks Beneath My Feet
Sand sinks beneath my feet as I walk along the morning tide .The strength of the waves are hidden by their delicate appearance. As I look out on the ocean I see gray fins surface the water. An orange sphere rises out of the ocean, casting a glow on the cotton clouds above. All existence of foot prints the day before have been erased from the sand's past. A cool salty breeze briskly brushes against my skin. Birds fly overhead projecting faint shadows on the sand. Like the seashells on the coast, all the troubles in my mind are being washed away with every wave. I wish it would stay morning all day long, I dread the hours when people cluster the beach leaving only small spots of visible sand throughout the beach. At times I wonder what it would be like if I could turn time. I could stay at the beach as long as I wanted to and summer vacation would never end.
