The Death of a Cookie
What an impeccable cookie! Its shape is so faultless, its frosting is so appealing. It longs to escape. I shall rescue it from the internment of the cookie jar! Oh! Oh, but I am, in fact, a menace, for this lovely cookie has not long to live. It’s death is imminent. I try to resist. Think of its life, its family! It has such things to accomplish, such appetizing hope! But, alas, for I cannot help myself. I cry as I consume this exquisite pastry. I feel melancholy but satisfied at its tragic end.
