Dear Heart
Dear heart,
Why do you seem so sad? You smile each day and hide your tears. I think I understand, you have realized your fears. You’ve lost your love, you’ve lost your soul. The darkness is where lies your rose. It glows when you are near, it knows that you care. Yet it wilts when you smile, and laughs all the while. I understand dear heart; as you cry—I am torn, as you breathe—my breath is taken. Do not cry for this while, soon you too shall smile and your soul awaken. Never again to be broken, but your heart to be taken.
Love,
Friend of Hearts
