Cruel Dreams
There once was a girl who woke up
angry, she'd found that her dreams
had betrayed her.
She went out and cursed the world
which seemed to mock her.
When she came home she slept, and
the madness stayed with her for
days and days.
She hid from the light to feed her
rage.
Love found her hiding spot and
wouldn't leave Her, until finally
she chased it away.
She dozed off and woke to find the anger gone,
Replaced by sorrow,
Sadness softened her.
She melted and became what she
lost, freed from it all, love her only possession .
