Those Blood-Red Eyes
I was running, from who or what was still a mystery. My lungs were burning from a lack of oxygen, my legs from exhaustion. One thought was branded into my mind though, just keep running. I had fallen, the blood dripping from the gash in my forehead was calling to my pursuer, teasing him. This caused him to run faster than humanly possible. I won't evade his grasp forever. I thought about those ice cold hands, his blood-red eyes. My feet could no longer keep up with my torso and came out from under me, my body crashing to the ground in a tangled heap. I crawled to a near-by doorway and prayed to God that he wouldn't find me.
I opened my eyes and screamed.
