Risky Buisness
Insane
Her name was Sarah; she was as beautiful as an angel on the outside. Her hair was as golden blonde as the sun, her teeth were white as pearls, and her lips were ruby red slippers. If you stared into her eyes you would be looking at 2 wide oceans of blue. She had skin like porcelain, except for one small scar right on her collarbone. Now if one were to look into Sarah they would find the opposite of her beautiful exterior. Instead they would find many demons that haven’t been brought up in years but yet seem to haunt her every day.
Since the day she was born in 1998 she had had a pretty fortunate life. Her family was rich, lived in a nice house, great relationship with her mother and brother. The first loss of her life was in 2005. Sarah’s mother and brother had died in tragic car accident when she was just 7 years old and she missed them everyday. Her brother was her best-friend when they were at school he was the popular while she was the shy one that didn’t really have any friends but her brother. She talked to him everyday and the best part for her was they he listened to what she was having to say. She had a special understanding with her mother, and that it was such a crushing loss when her mother died.
Then something in happened in 2010 that changed her life status. On a warm summer night Sarah’s father had tried to kill her. He had always been a distant father and ever since her mother and brother died Sarah had felt her father was absent from life. That is where the scar from her collarbone came when her father had attacked her. Luckily she was able to runaway and find help. The police came to her house and arrested him, where he now remains in jail for the next 25 years.
After these tragedies and loosing basically all of her family her guardians she was to go to live with, in case her parents died, had put her in an insane asylum. She was not crazy, or maybe she was, she was just confused. She did not understand why her father tried to kill her and why every single member in her family she had a bond with, had left her.
The asylum was plain and boring. It had white walls and everything was a natural color. Her room contained a single bed and a dresser. She was allowed no sharp objects and nothing that she could possibly harm herself with.
She went through everyday with the same routine and same things she did. She would wake up and go down to the cafeteria and get a bowl of bananas and rice krispies for breakfast. Then she would go and read her favorite book everyday Perks of Being a Wallflower , always the same book, never a different one. Then she would play poker with crazy old Madge who bet her teeth in a game once.
When Sarah would go through these actions everyday she felt like her life had no purpose and everything she was doing was pointless. The one thing that she had going in her life was her little 7 year old follower Blaire.
Blaire was a bright bubbly seven year old who would talk to dead people all the time. She was a very cute little girl who would follow Sarah around a like a pet poodle. Sarah did not mind that much because she was like a little sister to her and Sarah knew what it was like to grow up with no parents so she wants to be really nice to Blaire.
There was something a little strange about Blaire though that when she would sleep with Sarah because of her nightmares, she would always call out the name Maddy and Blake which was the name of her mom and her brother which is why it confused her so much. She never asked Blaire and thought maybe it was just a coincidence. And then one day Blaire walked up to Sarah and said “I met your dad last night.”
Sarah was confused and shocked all at one time “What?” she exclaimed. Blaire had said that when she was on the lawn at night a guy had came buy and told him he was your father. Sarah thought this was all a hoax because it was common knowledge among the community about what had happened with her father so she thought it might have been some sick prank.
The next day continued on with Sarah’s normal activities except for the fact that she had the “dad’ thing on her mind the whole day. She was still terrified of her father and that was a given. I mean for the love of Pete the man had tried to kill his own daughter when she was just 12 years old. When Sarah went to bed that night, she was scared. What if the whole thing with Blaire had not been a farce would if it had been real and what if her father was stalking her down right now in hope to kill her.
It was the middle of the night and Sarah was asleep. When her door creaked open as to not wake her up. There was a voice that could be heard of a little 7 year old telling someone that “This is where she sleeps.” The moon was full that night an odd coincidence for the event that would be occurring. All of a sudden Sarah’s dad is standing over her bed slowly shaking her awake. Sarah wakes up, realizes who it is, and starts to scream. Her dad covers her mouth and tells her “Listen Sarah I know I tried to kill you but there was a reason, we were, well are in danger… come with me!”
