Darkness cradels you
the power
of not knowing
what you feel
Soul weighs heavy
running on empty
you see things
in black and white
You lost yourself
so simple it was
to fall among them
so graceful you were
hid your heart
til' you bled
tears of rain
falling to earth
you fell among us unnoticed
an angel of mercy
you saved mankind
from ourselves
darkness turned to light
as the earth stood still.
