Sullen Snowfall


He looked out his window seeing half a foot of fresh snowfall. The sky was dim from the clouds swirling overhead. Something mysterious calls to him; not sure of what to expect, he followed. He found nothing but a cold, rocky shore. A dense fog hung over the beach making his teeth chatter, sending paranormal shivers up his spine. He stood and looked around; no one around for miles. He is all alone and had not realized how far he had travelled. He collapsed and fell asleep in the snow feeling cold and tired, desperately wanting to awaken by his fireplace. He awoke to a blanket of white smothering him; finding himself buried under several feet of snow. Trapped and unable to move, he went to sleep again, for the last time.
