Love vs Roller Costers
Up... Down, a quick around, a sharp turn left & right, traveling blindly into a tunnel ahead, leading to an instant dead drop. This is a vague, but direct description of two things we experience in life. One is being on a roller- coaster ride, and the other is being in love. Both are rides. They clearly have a beginning and end, yet they are somewhat unpredictable and uncontrollable, this is why they are so hard to resist and so tempting.
In an amusement park, you can go on a roller coaster that carries you up & down, or you can go on another kind of ride that whirls you around in a circle. That can be compared to a ride of love. Just like a roller coaster love has its ups and downs, and it can throw you every which way. Love is one of those things you will never forget, but you will probably forget about the first time you went on a roller coaster. Roller coaster you experience time and time again, but you can`t experience love time and time again. It is a once in a life time thing.
Both deliver a chemical connection that is so addictive and irresistible, that no matter how scary or unpleasant it seems at times we continue to come back for more. Love and roller-coasters can be experiences in life. The need for your own balance and inner strength to be able to deal with its twists and turns is vital to the outcome of the ride. If you are two weak, you will lose control and all self-stability in your life. If you are two strong and have no fear whatsoever your taking the ride for granted… you’re letting your guard down and without warning, you will end up shocked when it ends unexpectedly.
Both rides demand some level of preparation and knowledge as neither ride can be entered without risk. A risk is the outcome of the gamble you take when you invest your heart, your time and/or your money in something that appears to offer what you cannot ignore. So be very aware of risk involved in any ride in life! If you don`t there could be consequences. Be very careful about what rides you go on. There are some that are good, and some are bad, watch out.
Important words to remember … even though you can`t control or predict these rides you can control how you let these rides effect you. It is just like you can control and enter the ride! Remember you can control you actions & the rides you go on. Be very careful. So tell me…. How do you enter the rides that your challenges you with?
