A Daisy in Winter
Her name was Daisy.
She was very much her name:
free spirited, her laugh lite and musical.
Her eyes soulful; yet far away.
Her teeth sparkled in the sun like diamonds.
Her nails done, filed round.
Her signature color was red.
She wore it on her lips, fingernails, and toes.
Her skin like porcelin.
Her auburn hair glistens like a waterfall.
Earring dangle from her ears;
shining as the capture the sun.
She tosses her head back and laughter fills the space around her,
heating the cold winter air.
