Choking Up
Sometimes, I would fall asleep with my headphones plunged in, the lyrics of Fall Out Boy acting as my lullaby.
Then 3 to 4 hours later at 4:17 am, I would jolt awake and find the white tentacles wrapped around my trachea, forcing me to choke on my breath.
But I would remain absolutely serene and slowly unwrap the silent murderer from my neck.
I guess the reason why I didn’t start to panic is because I am just really used to it.
I mean, isn’t this the exact way life holds us?
