When the cat started barking “woof”, it bewildered everyone. It all started when a helpless dog found a helpless cat. They started speaking with each other with “woof” and “meow.” Eventually, they became friends.
They helped each other gather food. They would also create songs with different tones of barks and meows. Eventually, the cat started barking and started learning the ways of the dog. The cat would bark on a daily basis and would act like the dog. They would roam around the mountain to exercise and would play fetch with extra food they found.
As they grew older, they started adventuring to find a new companion. After years of search, they found a stranded cat. They helped the cat survive by giving it food. Eventually, the cat started feeling more comfortable around them and started acting like them.
The cat also started barking. After years of being friends and helping each other survive, the cats decided to have offsprings. Their offspring did not “meow” since her parents did not. As a result, she barked instead.
After many generations, there were more cats that barked than meowed. As the two groups of cats became friends, barking became the main way of communicating since more of them barked. Eventually, almost all cats barked except for those that were pets. The population of cats that barked increased as more cats were being born.
The population of the cats started decreasing when the tragedy known as global warming occurred. Cats were forced out of their homes to migrate to new areas. Since there wasn’t enough food for everyone, some cats died as other cannibalized on others. This tragedy led to the deaths of millions of cats.
The pet cats that “meow” started outnumbering the ones that barked. Eventually, the cats started meowing again and this is why all cats meow today.
