Where has the sky gone?
Rain pelts the ground until it drowns, for now.
Thick grey clouds suffocate the clear sky, for now
Where has the sky gone?
Artificial light burns down on top of my head,  for now
The walls closing in on me until I’m crushed, for now.
Where has the sky gone?
Cell bars close behind me, I’m trapped, for now
The small window missing a bar is all I see of the real world, for now.
Where has the sky gone?
My body squeezes through the broken window, I’m out, for now.
Blue skies stretch for miles over miles, for now.
Where has the sky gone?
For now, I’ve seen it.
For now, I’ve escaped.
For now, I’ve served enough of my sentence.
