It was a very cold Friday morning. Downpouring so hard that it is impossible to drive. The air smelling like rain at 6 a.m on one of the busiest days of the year, Black Friday. Black Friday is when the biggest sales, deals, and shopping events are happening just in time for Christmas. There are so many cars out and I can barely see. I am currently on the way to Kohls to get the $5 BIG towels. I am only a couple blocks away. Boom! Crash! Skrtttt! All I could think to myself is am I okay. I am thrown from the car and I can barely breathe. All I hear is screaming, yelling, and sirens. I felt my heart leaving my body and I knew this was going to be the end. "Hello, can you hear me? My name is Jake and you have been in a serious car accident. What is your name?” I could barely get a word out.

"Grr, myyy namee is Reebecca," I said.

“Okay Rebecca, we will try and take good care of you,” said the nice paramedic, Jake. I have never met someone as kind as he was. He helped me and followed me through every step to get me out safely, I didn't even feel a wedding ring. I am lifted up into the ambulance and rushed to the nearest hospital right away. My heart was racing a million beats per second not because of Jake, the cute paramedic but because I am struggling to barely hang on. I eventually arrived at Mercy Medical Center around 8 a.m. They rushed me into the emergency room. The last thing I could remember is that I gently closed my eyes. Then I fell asleep.

A couple months went on and I woke up to find out I had been in a coma. I turned next to me to find the cute paramedic, Jake, sitting right next to me. I was so confused, why would he be next to a patient or more less stranger for almost two months? This is crazy.

“Hey, have you been by my side for 2 months?” Rebecca said.

“Yes, I fell in love with you since the first time I saw you lying in your car stuck and I knew you were the one. I can't picture life without you. This is meant to be and I know this is crazy, but will you marry me Rebecca?”

“YES YES YES!” I said

I knew what I was getting myself into but we can learn from each other as we prepare the wedding. I was beyond excited and stoked.

My heart dropped and from this moment on, I finally found my forever. My head was spinning and I couldn't believe that this stranger sat by my side for almost two months. I felt like I have known him my whole entire life. Next, I had the guts to lean in for a hug but it led to a kiss. This was something I have never felt before. A bad accident turned into me finding my forever soulmate.
