A Dream but a Nightmare

This is not my dream.
I’m in my childhood home—
My siblings and I are trying to survive the night.
Menacing people coming from both sides
We try to run, it’s hard to get away.
We try to hide, they are running after us.
We are gradually getting away.
There is one more enemy in our way.
It’s our malevolent neighbors, they are monsters.
They want to cause harm, but I will not allow it.
I will protect my family no matter what.
