My friends are very affable, so when they asked to hang out one weekend, I obviously said yes. What I didn’t realize is that we were going to spend the majority of the day cleaning out my friend’s neighbor's basement. When I got to my friend Eva's house, she was taking a while to get ready. I tried to expedite her process, yet an entire hour passed as she did chores, ate, picked an outfit, and finally then she declared “I’m ready!”. Clearly, she was very fastidious. We had originally decided to go to the mall until we heard a knock knock knock on the door. It was my friend’s neighbor. She was a sweet, frail old lady who asked us to help her out for some cash. We said sure, thinking why not make some of the money back we’ll be spending thinking it would be an hour max. When we got to her house, she had us feed her dog, help her bake, clean the kitchen, do yard work, and finally we thought we were done. But, it was not close to done. She asked us to organize the basement, which she clearly hadn’t done for at least 10 years. There was dust flying around like tiny bits of sand in a breeze, making the air hazy. She looked so frail and appeared to have a good amount of cash in store for us so we agreed. For the next 4 hours, we organized every container, cleaned every corner, and made the house spotless. Despite thinking the day was wasted, we ended up making a good $100 out of it and gaining an  experience to share.
