Don't Pretend That You Love Me (Your Words Are Killing Me)
Don’t pretend that you love me. Your words are killing me.
You tell me that you love me.
That you’ll be mine forever more.
That you’ll always be there for me.
On and on.
On and on your lies sink inside my body, soul, and heart.
On and on I fall for those simple, simple words.
Those words that consume my entire self,
That drown out every other feeling that I’ve felt before,
That take over every piece of logic that I know is true,
Those words that bring me over the edge of what is right and wrong.
As soon as those words leave your lips,
I fall down…down…lower…
I guess that’s what its like to be in love.
Or what it’s like to be in a farce love.
If you loved me,
If you would never leave me,
If you would be mine forever,
Then why don’t you look me in the eye when you say those words?
Why don’t you laugh with me like you used too?
Why aren’t you happy when your with me?
When you say those words I fall…down…down…lower…
But now those words are a lie.
And that lie is killing me.
Ripping me apart bit by bit.
You don’t love me.
You can’t even look me in the eye and say that you do.
Is it over so soon?
Don’t pretend that you love me.
Is it over?
Don’t pretend.
Is it really over?
Your pretending.
It’s over.
