Goodbye
The sun was blazing hot on my back, I could feel the sweat on my
face. It was my last night in Illinois and my baby brother was
spending the night at his grandmas, so that meant that I wouldn’t
be spending my last night with my baby brother as I had wished. My
step mom Jacqui had made an appointment the next day and there
was no way I could spend that last night with him. I held him tight
in my arms, while Jacqui loaded up the car. I felt his soft hand
touch my face, then I started to think of all the diaper changes,
baths, feedings, playing with him and how I wouldn’t be doing
those things everyday like I had been for the past 7 weeks. It was
then that a tear dropped from my eye. I handed him over to Jacqui
and she placed him in the car seat. I hugged my dad shoving my
face into him. “You’ll see him again soon,” my dad told me. “I know ,” I replied. “ But , I am really going to miss him.”
