"Did you come here with someone?"
"Just a few friends."
"Really? I would've expected someone as pretty as you to have a guy."
"Not at the moment."
That conversation was what brought them to couplehood. She wasn't going to let him know that two weeks earlier her answer would have been very different. At least not in the first 5 minutes.
He knew now and had nine words that made her smile every time she heard them:
"I don't understand why he broke up with you."
She'd look into his eyes and gave this reply:
"He just didn't deserve this."
