Fields of Green
She used to be beautiful, I think. She had mesmerizing eyes with fields of green that remind you of your childhood. Her hair was a soft wave of honey. Her plump lips once held passion.
But now she is a pile of sticks and bones. Her collarbones jut through her chest like jagged cliffs. The air is dense with unanswered questions.
“Why, Darling?” She replied. “This is the cost of being thin”.
I zip up the body bag.
