A world where people are given a number as a name just doesn’t seem right. In the book Anthem, written by Ayn Rand, shows how what most people consider a bad or negative thing can lead to greatness. What inspired me the most was when Equality saw himself in the water for the first time. That was such a powerful moment because at that moment he knew who he was, and could really see his identity. Along the same lines, this book can show teens like myself how to never give up and even find yourself. In addition to that, it shows people how making wise choices and being your self is what gives you an identity. Teens who are going through hard times such as depression, anxiety, etc. Can relate to this book because Equality went through many obstacles to get where he wanted to be. It also shows people how to speak up, because in the book Equality presented his light bulb and got denied, but he still kept a great attitude because he knew in his heart that it would help others and not just himself. That being said, Anthem is a book which can encourage and motivate teens all around the world.
