A Smart Downgrade
There he was. The same man I've been starring at. The same man that I think about every night and day. The only man I ever fell in love with. His five feet-ten inches body image, curly brown hair, electrifying blue ocean eyes, and plump lips makes me just want to hug him and stare into his eyes forever. Whenever he smiles, his dimples would show, sending a wave of chills down my spine. Oh, how I long for him.
"Tina?" Someone was trying to pull my attention away from him. "TINA!" The voice yelled.
Instantly, I snapped out of my thoughts. "Wha? Huh?" I asked confused. I gazed over at Michelle, my best friend since freshman year. She had her eyes narrowed at me.
"Are you still daydreaming about him?" She asked suspiciously.
I swiftly took another glance where my true love was. He was sitting at a table across from me with a few of his friends surrounding him. It seems like he was laughing at a joke that one of his friends told. "Nope." I replied cooly. "I was just...looking at...the wall." Nice one. I though sarcastically. I had to mentally slap myself for that one. I'm such a bad liar.
"Uh-huh." Michelle said unconvinced. "You are a really bad liar, you know that?"
"Yeah?Or, you just know me to well." I grinned from ear to ear.
She shook her head, "What you need to do is go over to Jordan and just tell him how you feel." She advised.
I sighed deeply. "I know." I glanced back at his table. He was playing with his food now. That's when he must have sensed me stare at him from a distance and looked up at my direction.
Crap! I thought, but I still couldn't look away. Not when his blue eyes were staring straight into my hazel ones. As we stared at each other, the butterflies in my stomach ignited. We held our gaze for a few seconds when a smile finally appeared on his beautful face. He waved at me and I waved back, my heart fluttered. He actually noticed me.
"What now?" Michelle asked annoyed. "What's with the silly grin?"
I just couldn't help but think that Jordan Smith, Asphalt High School's average musician actually waved at me, Tina Parker, Asphalt's average book worm. "I think I'll take your advice and go talk to him." I replied hopeful with a smile tugging on my lips.
I am Tina Parker. I have long, wavy, golden brown hair with hazel eyes. I wear black rimmed square glasses that makes me look like a real geek. I like to read books that most people often find them boring. I spend most of my time studying. I am Asphalt High School's average smart girl but lacks in the subject of boys. Someone please shoot me now.
