Rebecca
One day on the first day of school senior year, Rebecca had no intention of getting into what she ended up happening. Her school year was going well, going to classes and being a regular student. One Friday, she was talking to a teacher in the hallway when she saw a boy come up to her. The boy seemed like a cool kid, kind of quiet. They made awkward eye contact and smiled before either one of them dared to speak up and talk. Eventually she said hey and told me his name was Taqavon. She introduced herself and started a conversation. The bell rang for dismissal and they exchanged numbers. They texted for a while getting to know each other. In Rebecca’s, she figured this guy may have a crush on her and/or want to be friends. In Taqavion’s mind, he was looking for a girlfriend, but she wasn't aware of his intentions. After talking over the weekend for just 2 days, he started calling her his girlfriend and telling her how much he loved her. As a quiet person, she made the slight mistake of going along with it and gave the same energy. Over time he started changing his mood and starting childish and unnecessary arguments. Eventually, she slowly lost interest in him, but she still somewhat stayed with him because of how kind her heart was.
Fun fact, Rebecca's friends are all guys and only have two girlfriends, which somehow portrays her as “one of the guys' group. This never was a big deal nor affected her, until Taqavion noticed and began to question her about every single guy she hung out with. To the point where he told her to stop hanging around this one friend, and of course, she didn't listen. After she started losing interest, she took him less seriously and when he threw an outburst at her, she was unphased and didn't care as much as he thought. So Rebecca had another friend, they were friends for a good year and this new year they have every class together. Eventually, they became closer and found each other attractive to an extent. The fact that she wasn't in love nor liking Taqavion anymore, in her head, they weren’t together anymore but in his head they were. Fast forward, she and Jacquese became friends with benefits because neither of them wanted a relationship. Everything was going all good and okay when Rebecca started to like him even more than he liked him. She knew nothing between them would work since neither of us wanted a relationship. We were young and just having fun. She just kept telling herself to calm down because, in the end, she knew she would get hurt.
