Run 2
I finally stopped running when my lungs burned and the sky was shades of pink and purple. I found myself at the graveyard where my best friend was buried at. I sat down in the grass next to her grave. Its been 5 years, and she still doesn’t have a headstone. My music was blasted all the way up, so all I could hear was three days grace and my blaring thoughts. I hate that she’s dead. I hate that it wasn’t me. Everyone knows she is the better one. At about 8:30, I turned off my Ipod , jumped about a foot in the air when I saw a person sitting to the right of me. “What the hell are you doing here!” I screamed. He smiled “I could ask you the same thing.” he said in a soft voice. I studied him skeptically. He looked about 17 with jet black hair and bleach blonde bangs. He was pretty white, but not too pale. He was wearing a never shout never t-shirt and black skinny jeans and a studded belt and worn out black Vanz. The average scene kid. “Do I know you?” I asked him. “Not yet, but you will.” What does that mean, I thought. “ ok then...What’s your name?” I asked. “It doesn’t matter.” was his reply. I was getting really annoyed with his short and confusing answers. “Well its getting dark, and I’m going home. Bye.” I said. This guy was weird, and I wanted to get away from him. “Alright, love” he said. He stepped closer to my and pulled me close to him. It looked like he was about to kiss me, but just before our lips met, he smiled. “Bye.” he said in a husky voice. He let go of me and walked away. Holy s***, that was weird. That’s the second time today a guy tried to kiss me out of nowhere. What is wrong with me? I walked home in a daze, and tried to go to sleep. At 5:30 A.M, I decided to give up trying. I took an extra long shower and took my time getting ready. I got to school around 7:30, and that kid from the graveyard was leaning against my locker listening to some really loud brokencyde on his ipod. My friend Bri gave me a confused look and walked away to go find her boyfriend. The kid looked up and smiled at me. I walked over to him. “Look, if you’re going to follow me, I need to know your name.” I said in a confident tone. “Follow you? This is my locker.” he said and smiled at me. He pointed to the locker number. It wasn’t mine. Then, he pointed to the one next to it. THAT one was mine. Great. I was about to say something about it, when Daniel walked up. “Hey, b*tch. You’re just gonna ditch me for a f*ggot scene kid? Wow, you’re even more of a loser than I thought.” He said. I glared at him. “Don’t talk to her that way” the kid said. “What are you gonna do about it, f*ggot?” Daniel said. The guy punched him hard in the face. Daniel’s nose started bleeding immediately. I gasped. Daniel tried to punch back, but the boy ducked and he hit the locker. I heard a crack, and Daniel screamed. His friend brought him to the office. His hand was bent in a weird direction. The boy, grabbed my arm and started running. He took me to his car and got in. so did I. Daniels friends were running up to his car, and were surrounding it. “Hang on!” the boy said, with this weird smile on his face. I looked at him with wide eyes, but I did as he said. This is the second day in a row that I’m on the run...
