Chapter 14 The Truth About Jake.

I was so scared.
“Don’t say a word or you will regret it!”
I shivered. He was so close to me. One snap at my neck would be the end.
“MOLLY!” Jason roared with agony.
Jake can’t read my thoughts!
Behind the column on your right! I thought nervously.
Suddenly there was a crash. Then a crack.
The wooden floor was breaking.
Jason be careful! I thought directly to him.
He nodded and led Jake out the brass door.
I watched with wide eyes. What was going on?
Was I crazy?
No. I wasn’t. I was watching two vampires try to kill each other.
I was lifted and we went back to the cabin.
But only for a while.
“Molly what happened!” he asked breathlessly.
“I-I’m not exactly sure,” I said slowly, “He was just instantly in my room and then I was gone.”
He mumbled something I didn’t hear. The only thing I did hear was “Never should have done this,”
“Jason!” I yelled. “What is going on!”
He turned around and came two inches from my face.
“Molly, you know I love you but,”
“But…” I insisted.
“So does Jake.”
I gasped in horror and buried my face into his shoulder and cried.
“Shh… Molly its okay.”
I couldn’t pull myself together. I didn’t know what was wrong with me.
“What are we going to do?!” I yelled in agony. I was too scared to say more.
“It’ll be okay Molly. First lets just get out of here.”
We took the car. He was going over 300 miles per hour but, I just wanted to get away from Jake.
We stopped in California.
We went to a hotel and stayed the night.
I knew I was going to be safe.
I didn’t know for how long though.
“I think you should get some sleep now,” Jason said, after about one in the morning.
I shook my head, tears brimming my eyes.
“I wont let anyone hurt you Molly! You have to believe that!”
Then it happened.
He kissed me.
An electric shock went through my body and I had chills everywhere.
When he pulled away my head was spinning.
“Molly?” he asked cautiously.
Then I fell.
“Molly!” he caught me.
“What happened?” I mumbled breathlessly.
“I…Don’t…know!” he said incredulously.
I laughed. “Okay, I’m going to bed now…”
I walked to the separate room and lied down.
I took a deep breath and closed my eyes.
I was exhausted.
“Molly run!” I was running alright. Faster than I could imagine.
Then something grabbed me and there was instant pain everywhere.

I quickly sat up in a cold sweat.
I was breathing very heavily.
“Are you okay?” I heard a voice say right behind me.
I gasped. “When did you get in here Jason!”
He laughed.
“I came in about a half hour ago.”
“Oh,” was all I could manage to say.
“Did you want to go get something to eat?” he asked tenderly, playing with a strand of my hair.
“Y-yes please” I stammered.
I got up and went to go take a shower and get dressed.
I put on loose jeans and a t-shirt that said GET LOST IM TAKEN on the front.
Jason laughed when he saw the shirt.
Then we went to Perkins and I had two pancakes.
Nothing for him obviously.
“Molly?” Jason asked.
I looked up, “Yes?”
“Your dream… disturbed me.” he said thoughtfully.
I dropped my fork noisily.
“You listened to my dreams!” I squealed.
He put a finger over my mouth.
“Shh! You do have to remember no one knows about us!” he said irritatingly.
I rolled my eyes.
“So… what about my dream?”
“It was exactly how I was changed.” he admitted.
I stared at him my eyes wide and jaw dropped.
“What!” I rasped.
He nodded.
“You have quite interesting dreams Molly. Some of them might come true. And we have to change that.”
I was confused, “Why?”
“Do you want to be changed!?” he whispered.
“No…well, I don’t know!”
He rolled his eyes.
We were in the car now. I had no idea where we were going.
“J-Jason?” I asked nervously
“Yes my love?”
I shivered.
He said it again.
“Who was the vampire first? You…or Jake?”
His knuckles tightened on the steering wheel.
“Me.” he said sternly.
I gasped in horror.
“I don’t understand.”
He sighed, “I made him what he is now Molly, but I didn’t know he would become this way. Don’t take it any wrong way. I don’t want to hurt you. That’s only Jake.”
“But, why did you change him?” I asked.
“Because I needed to Molly. If I didn’t I would be starving right now. I’m living of animals now. But Its not helping.”
He took a quick glance at me and looked swiftly away.
“W-what do you mean?” I stuttered.
He took a pleading look at me and brushed the back of his cool hand on my cheek.
I gasped.
“No” I shook my head.
He flinched away and kept driving.
I cried the whole time.
Jason wanted to kill me.
He had to.
If he wanted to survive.

Chapter 15
I had to be strong. I had to let him do this.
I watched him nervously from the corner of my eye.
It pretty much looked like he was trying to ignore my thoughts.
He nodded once and froze back into the place he was before.
Why didn’t you tell me before! I thought furiously. I didn’t feel like talking.
“Because I didn’t want to frighten you. I was waiting for the right time and then you had to get all nosy…”
Oh shut up you’re the one who brought it up!
He rolled his eyes. “Molly you asked me what I meant. I didn’t give one hint of what I was talking about until you asked.”
I hate it when you’re right!
He laughed and turned his head back to concentrate on the road.
I yawned. It was past midnight.
“Did you want to stop at another hotel? It doesn’t bother me.”
I nodded and closed my eyes to rest them.

I had fallen asleep because when I woke up I was in a hotel bed.
“Good morning sunshine.”
“Whoa!” I gasped.
He chuckled. “I guess I’ll have to stop doing that.”
“Ya think!” I gasped.
He laughed and jumped off the bed with a soft thud.
I rolled my eyes. Show off.
He smiled.

We had to get straight in the car that morning.
He told me we were going back.
He thought that Jake might have went far enough that he couldn’t find us.
“W-what! What if he does find us Jason! What are we going to do then!”
He rolled his eyes.
“I’ve told you many times before I wont let him hurt you!” he spat out.
I shook my head in disbelief and turned to stare out the window.
He sighed. “I’m sorry. I’m sure you know that but you’re having trouble believing it.” he accused.
I nodded my head once. I’m not sure if I can even trust you yet…
He shook his head and ignored me.
What’s wrong? I thought nervously
“I tell you I love you and you don’t even trust me yet!”
I flinched.
“I-I’m sorry,” he sighed. “I shouldn’t have yelled at you like that.”
“It’s okay.” I said.
There was a thud at the top of the pickup.
I screamed bloody murder.
It was Jake…
