A Fairy's Heart Prologue
Prissy was pushed back against a wall. "I can't believe I let this happen!" she muttered to herself. "Not again."
She unfurled her wings and got back up.
"Finally!" called Tristin. He was still in the air, cuts and all. "Is that really how long it takes you to recover a fall? That's longer than the last time we combatted!"
"Shut up!" Prissy screamed as she threw an energy ball at him. She knew it was against all survival rules to use up her energy this way, but she also knew she was strong
Tristen didn't see it coming. He was still laughing when it hit him. His eyes opened and he started to fall. She flew to him and grabbed a hold of him, using yet another spell to make him not so heavy.
She took him to a spot next to the tallest flower she could find. Lucky for her, there was a little pool of rain water. She used it to heal him and then herself.
"I can't believe I let this happen again" she muttered once more before falling asleep. "I got distracted by the one I love during battle."
