Wedding Day
(pilot)
INT. CHURCH - MORNING - ROOM #1
Jillian and Ryan are about to get married but not without their best friends Francine and john to help them out.
Jillian is in Room number 1, looking at the mirror with her wedding dress on.
Jillian turns around and looks at Francine. A sigh of relief rolls off her breath. Francine looks at the mirror.
FRANCINE
You sure you want to do this?
Jillian turns back to the mirror, looking at her dress.
JILLIAN
What do you mean?
FRANCINE
I mean, if you go all in. you'll never be able to get out. Like.. Ever!
JILLIAN
Francine I want to do this, I really, really do.
FRANCINE
okay. I mean are you really, really sure you like him.
JILLIAN
(Laughing)
Francine.
(Walks to the chair and sits down)
I think we're past like. Yes, I do love him.
FRANCINE
Right.
INT. CHURCH - MORNING ROOM #2
John walks in and looks at Ryan in awe.
JOHN
Man, you look good.
RYAN
Thanks.
JOHN
Oh, ugh by the way. Everything is in check, Got the caterer and oh almost forgot. Your mom is here.
RYAN
(lays out a sigh of relief)
Great.
INT. ROOM #1
Jillian and Francine. Jillian is adding her finishing touches.
JILLIAN
Okay.
(She turns around)
How do I look?
FRANCINE
Like a beautiful princess.
Jillian gives Francine a look.
FRANCINE
Queen. Beautiful queen.
JILLIAN
Thanks.
Francine takes a seat. Ryan's mother Lori barges in the room. Jillian looks at Francine. Francine shrugs.
Close up on Jillian's face as she turns to Francine.
FRANCINE
you said I can invite whomever I choose, so I invited Ryan’s mother?
JILLIAN
Great. Soon this weeding's going to be a debate party.
FRANCINE
Oh, oh come on. So are you excited?
JILLIAN
Seems like you both are. Speaking of mom where's my mom?
INT. ROOM #2
Ryan takes a deep breath, looking at himself in the mirror and turns to see john eating the whole batch of chocolates that were sent to him.
RYAN
really?
JOHN
oh this is so good. This right here is my Breakfast, lunch and dinner. what? I didn't eat anything all day.
Ryan staring at him blankly.
JOHN
There’s more where that came from.
RYAN
(nodding)
Alright.
Both walk out to the church where they await for Jillian and the rest of the girls.
INT. CHURCH
RYAN
(looking at his watch)
how long does it take for a woman to get dressed?
JOHN
A century, decade, who’s counting really?
The music cues in. Ryan and john look at each other.
JOHN
You ready?
RYAN
Born ready.
A person shouting
PERSON
Here comes the bride, hot diddly dog!
RYAN
hot diddly dog? someone's excited!
The bride comes in, her dress is too long so people have to carry it for her, but she doesn't want anyone to touch her dress. She is looking confident until one of them steps on her dress and she goes tumbling down head first on the floor.
The whole church goes silent. Jillian gets up like nothing happened.
JILLIAN
I’m fine.
(Looking around)
Fine!
She walks to the Alter where her father helps her to the stage where he then gives her off to Ryan.
Both join hands and wait for the priest.
The priest says what he has to then moves on to the I dos.
PRIEST
Jillian. Do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband for better or for worse?
JILLIAN
Yeah, yeah, yeah I do.
PRIEST
Ryan do you -
RYAN
Hot diddly dog.
(he gets embarrassed, so he clears his throat)
continue.
PRIEST
Now Ryan, Do you take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife for better or for worse?
RYAN
I do.
PRIEST
(Closing the bible)
You may now kiss the bride.
Both kiss passionately.
LORI
I object.
They both stop kissing and look at her. Everyone turns around to look at her.
The room turns silent.
RYAN
mom. you’re a little too late for that.
LORI
oh well, in that case continue.
Both kiss again. Everyone clapping. They stop kissing and run to the aisle. As people begin to follow them out.
