Is Dress Code Necessary?
Even with the start of a new year, students are still questioning the staff at school about dress code. Many students complain that it is unnecessary to be required to wear sleeves and long pants, or even a uniform. The question teens have been asking lately is, “Why?” Well, as much as I understand that fashion is of high importance, excelling in school is the number one priority. Dressing in shorts and tank tops is completely inappropriate for a learning environment. Not only is it distracting, but it gets students riled up on the wrong topic when they need to be focused during their class. Overall, I think that students should stop finding ways to “sneak” derogatory clothing. If you have to avoid faculty in the hallways then it probably is inappropriate to wear to school. After all, there are other ways to look cool in school than showing a little too much skin!
