Technology doesn’t ruin our friendships, if anything, technology helps our friendships. Three ways technology helps our friendships are, technology lets us keep in touch, it lets us make new friends, and lastly, it lets us express our feelings.

The first way technology doesn’t ruin our friendships is by letting us keep up with family and friends, and bringing us closer together. For example, if your family or friend moved to another state, technology allows you to text them, send pictures, and call them so you can catch up on things, and see how they’re doing. Also it allows us to facetime or skype. Some may argue that facetiming isn’t as good as seeing people in person, which is true, but it’s the next best thing.

Technology really is a wonderful thing. The next way technology doesn’t ruin our friendships is that it allows us to meet new people, and become friends with them, so actually you’re making even more friends. It allows us to interact with people and have friendships with them and those friendships might turn into friendships that last forever, or you might even find a person that turns out to be your wife/husband. Technology also helps us get more involved, for example, Facebook shares with you when events are coming up, and if you'd like to go to it, you can. Some people may argue that there are "predators" on Facebook and social media, but there are ways to avoid them by having parents monitor their kids' phones, and educating teens about internet safety, and the dangers of the internet.

The last way technology doesn't ruin our friendships is by allowing us to express our feelings. For example, if a friend posts a picture and you like it, you can tell them how pretty they look and how nice the picture is. Also we can express our feelings by texting. If you’re having a bad day, all you need to do is text someone who can cheer you up. If you have good news and want to share it with someone, just text them. Some may say that people don't always express their feelings in a nice way, which is true, but you can you can block those negative people and also by parents monitoring their kids', they can avoid negativity.

As you can tell, technology doesn't ruin our friendships, it helps. It helps by letting us keep in touch, make new friends, and lastly, it lets us express our feelings. Technology helps the world in so many ways and if we didn't have it, it would be hard to mainly keep in touch with family and friends.
