The Hell I Call High School
I hate myself
I'd debate myself, betray myself
And those I love
Bisect my interior
Dissect my peripherals
Forgive myself
But I've found it's too hard
My eyes are like computer screens
My heart a sheen
Like a blur upon the silver screen
Breathing in and out, calms my being
But for how much longer can I hold?
It's driving me insane
It's plain to see
Caused by the Hell that's devoured me
Empowered me
It's a thousand insecurities
By way of chance I wish they'd flee
Take up new obsessions and just leave me be
But day in and day out, I'm the only one they see
And therefore I'm the host; I'm all that they need
There's too many to count
But I can vouch
They're an immeasurable size
They won't leave me alone
I'm the source of their pride
The pass for their time
The tear for their eye
On my blood they survive
There's no way they can die
I'm the life for their life
The yell for their strife
The anger for them
I'm the danger they send
They don't fear sacrifice
I'm the black behind white
The dark behind light
If they'd leave me alone
I'd escape from this life
