only chaos
i cannot find
words
to make something out of nothing
i cannot find peace
to make hope out of chaos
i cannot find light
to make beauty out of darkness
darkness
darkness all around-
surrounding
crippling
tearing
rending;
making me loathe myself and all i have ever been
and not been.
who am i?-
they tell me-
they try to define me-
worthless,
clinging,
sliding,
desperate,
selfish,
and falling-
at last-
alone.
It took a lot just to express these feelings; to say "No, what you say does not define. What you say is not who I am."
I choose not to be destroyed any longer by an identity I did not choose.
