Every day she is faced with pain
Because people call her horrible names.
They swear they are just joking
But she knows that it’s more than a game.

Her clothes might not be in style
And she may not be all that smart
But that does not mean people should play
With her fragile heart.

Sometimes she can’t hear what they say
But she still finds out how.
They talk about her on the internet
And how she should die right now.

They laugh and tease behind her back,
Making her want to cry.
Every day she sits alone at lunch
Trying to figure out why.

The people she called friends
Were the ones that teased her the most.
Now she walks the halls with her head down,
Trying to disappear like a ghost.

She does not know how long it will last,
The bullying that they do.
She sits and waits for the bell to ring,
Signaling the day is through.

She has dealt with all her fears,
Even the most difficult one,
But she sits and thinks of the day
When the bullying is all done.

The day has come and the choice is made.
“No more pain for me.”
She took a step off the edge.
She was only thirteen.
