Never Forget
They smiled at me with false faces
And stabbed at me with sharp words
Their twisted laughs echoed,
tearing at my soft underbelly
And when I turned around
They surrounded me
I don’t know how I earned this punishment
It’s strange that I thought they would be people I’d miss
But they don’t even to recognize me now
I know this true
When I see them they ask
“Do I know you?”
They have forgotten their cruelty
But I still remember
And I will never forget
