I am a Willow
I am a willow
I sway with the breeze
I never uproot,
For while I look to the stars
I clutch what I already have
With all my strength,
So that I may never feel the ache
The longing
The pain of loss.
Nevertheless,
I do know loss
I've lost branches and branches
But you know what?
No matter how many branches
You cut from me,
No matter how many roots
you cut from my water source,
No matter how many times
You chop me down
I
Will
Survive.
For I am a willow
For ever I weep
Forever I dance
Forever I sing~
