Impacts on Our Earth and It's Children
Carbon dioxide is known to be a cause of global warming and is a greenhouse gas. By globally heating the earth polar bears (Ursus maritimus) have less sea ice habitats to live in. As it's scientific name states the polar bear is a marine mammal. Two thirds of the polar bear population are expected to disappear by 2050, U.S. Geological Survey predicts. Petroleum affects them by increasing the scarity of food causing a large loss in population and creating a famine. Also it makes swimming conditions unsafe and ice platforms to scatter tearing up families. SO2 causes acid rain. Acid rain causes slower growth, death and injury to forests. It is also know to cause rspitory promblems and diseases in humans mostly children, and the elderly. Lead can have severe health impacts, especially for children, such as coma, death, hyperactivity, weight loss, and fine tremors.
