Super Typhoon Haiyan
I'm a Filipino. A proud one. I think you heard the news about Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan is its international name) hit the Visayas. We were not affected but in the northern part of our province, Iloilo, was destroyed. I never been there but seeing the photos and videos in the television took me by surprise. We are just so lucky that we are saved from the calamity. I wrote this for everyone to be aware what is happening in our island. There are still some towns in Panay Island(our island)that is still waiting for somebody's help. I am begging you to help the Filipinos right now just by giving basic needs. We are in need of those things. I am so thankful that nonFilipinos are helping us. Pray that the victims of Super Typhoon Yolanda, may have the strength to face a new life, the hope to survive and the faith that God will never forsake them
