I found Oscar Conway's poem," An Elegy To a Girl I Used To Be" extreamly moving. The poem itself took a while to understand, but once I read it slower and took my time in each stanza, I was in awe thate someone poured everything that they had into it. At the beginning, the speaker was saying "sorry" for not letting the girl be who she could have been. But then towards the end it was saying how even though they were sympathetic about not giving the girl the life she could have lived, they were not sorry for "living". The poem was very heart-renching and deep, and shows not only self descovery and acceptance, but the develpoment of someone in their own life.
