Overgrown Anxieties
In the article, "Overgrown Anxieties," Hazel Shanks uses descriptive imagery to tell a story that speaks for the lives of many. By telling the day-to-day life story of one person, Hazel opened my eyes and inflicted a deeper sympathy for how people live their lives. The story brigns me to the awareness that people really do face hardships almost, if not every day. Hazel describes anxiety as, "The vines are wrapping around my limbs, pulling me down to the bed, holding me there." Just by reading this, I feel a sense of attachment, as if I, myself am in the situation. Thank you, Hazel. Your words have definitley broadened my view on life, and has helped me better understand people.
