“I Am a Revolutionary” by Anonymous uses powerful sentences to describe what is happening in the narrator’s life. He talks about how he has seen his friends struggle to come to terms with who they are because of their sexuality. It is very brave of him to speak his mind, unafraid of everyone else’s opinions.  

I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and I struggle with who I am since some people I know don’t accept me. I loved the line, “I am a revolutionary because I am faced with these issues every single day and I will not back down until they are fixed.” This quote is so powerful, reminding me that we are the solution to the problem of homophobia, and we can – and will – make laws equal for all. This excellently crafted piece will always have a place in my heart.
