I can relate to Karmen R. when she wrote about being black in Americain her article "They Want My Culture, But Not My History". People say racist jokes, try to pet our hair as if we're animals, make fun of our face structures, and many more. Now they want to be like us, apart of our culture. They want our hairstyles, shoes, jewelry, clothes, but not our history. Karmen says,"The place I haved to proudly represent. Full of unfair justice, racism, discrimination." This is what it feels and is like in America, but Im still proud to represent America. Right? Karmen thank you for showing me I'm not alone when it comes to how I feel about the country we were born and raised on.
