What's Broken
This article is called "What's Broken" by Miles Pearson and it discusses a controversial yet important topic. Uncomfortable issues like that are the ones that need to have the most attention. By having the courage to write about it, it shows the author's ability to take risks. I fully agree with the message this article conveyed that guns must be controlled in order to ensure a more safe nation. This can be done without the infringement of the second amendment too. Stricter background checks and removing the right to open carry in all 50 states would be options that'd limit the use of weapons. Also, the issue of racial profiling among police is a touchy subject necessary of attention. The amount of shootings and cases of police butality against minorities is the highest it has ever been and will only be stopped when talked about. The longer that issues are swept under the rug, the more forgotten they'll be and the more they will continue to happen.
