My Hair, My Power
The article My hair, My power is a inspiring story about a girl experiencing hardships in high school. I enjoyed she admitting to her addiction of dyeing her hair. She says, “this self therapy was treading the thin line of addiction.” She would dye her hair to in the hope to boost her self esteem until it became an addiction. She said that every time she washed out the dye the hoped to look like the model on the box. She decided that she needed to restart her life. She relied on her hair so much that the only way to start over was to chop off her hair. After this her whole perspective on beauty changed. Just from doing this she was able to leave her house with confidence.
